A thousand thanks.

The local team, the families and the French office of the Ecole des Soleils thank all those who have punctually or regularly contributed to the project. From its genesis to this first anniversary, time has passed, a lot of different steps, lots of smiles! And some pain too…

Without your support, even modest, all this could not have been born and could not have lasted.That’s why we warmly thank you.

But these have been the first steps for this school which is still fragile.
We intend to support the children in the long term, because helping them build their lives and those of a few villages can only be contemplated in the long term.

The fragility of the school

If the first year has been successfully completed, with a rigorous management of the school by Manoj, the treasury remains fragile. It is now urgen for us to largely increase the resources of the French association l’Ecole des soleils and of the local NGO Suryodaya Eductional Trust.

The India legislation forbidding the local NGO to ask for money from the families, and the local wages being very low, it is difficult for the local NGO to find local financing.But we are working on the on the subject.

Except for a few donations made by some pilgrims on the spot, the quasi total financing of the school has been ensured by the French association for the Ecole des Soleils. We use our funds only to finance the school. Except for the registration fees for a demonstration in France and the bank charges, all the funds have been sent to the school.

And the trip of Arnaud Perdry, the president director of the school, who went there in January 2017 was paid by himself. We make a point of honour that your donations be invested in the school.

Perpetuating the financing

Our priority is to perpetuate the financing, particularly the monthly charges.

Improving the teaching equipment

In order to improve the teaching methods that have been implemented, we need to invest in teaching equipments and contribute to partially pay a few French volunteers who could come and help the school to support the local teachers.

Expanding the school

The school consists of 4 classes ( from the first year of nursery school to the first year of primary school). It is now the end of the school year and the the pupils in the first year of primary school don’t want to leave the school;For the moment , we cannot afford to expand the school, so we wish them nice school years at the elementary school of the village.

Because a lot of children still don’t go to school, and to accompany the children in the long term, the teaching team would like to increase the number of classes, even build a new building, better adapted. We hope to respond to this wish.That is why we are searching for new funds.

Any contribution from you, either modest or large, punctual or regular, ill be very precious.

This sum may be a personal donation or a collected donation; our friends may make on-line donations in your name. Their donations are part of your campaign as an Ambassador for the Soleils.

If one of your friends make an online donation, please ask him to inform us by mail that he is participating to your campaign.

If your initial donation is part of a friend’s campaign as an Ambassador who introduced you the school, you may however launch your own campaign, and by so enlarging the numbers of Ambassadors.

In January 2018, we will realise a photo exhibition to celebrate the second anniversary of the school. If they wish, each Ambassador will be recognized on the Ambassadors’ wall. ou will be free to share a few photos to introduce yourself and talk about your world. It will allow the children and their families to travel. They will be able to discover our way of life.

Other teaching projects , such as short videos, are planned and could involve ambassadors if they wish

Suns in your home

Every day, the joy that radiates in the school nourishes the children who love coming to classes. It is a very concrete way for them to learn about interdependence: without you, the school could not function and they could not forge their school days and their lives! To show you their gratitude, each child is asked to make a photographic painting hich will be offered to the Ambassadors.

Each Am bassador will receive a photo montage of a child in his environment. You will then be able to welcome a “portion of the Soleils” in your home.
